What are your impressions of your Marriage Encounter We gained very valuable insight into ourselves and our marriage. I feel stronger and closer to my wife now and hopefully the tools we gained this weekend will continue to help us for years to come.
What did you find meaningful this weekend? The individual time alone with directed discussions on topics we may not normally discuss. The facilities here were great. Comfortable rooms and great food. Great setting for event.
What are your impressions of your ME? I think the format was excellent. It was hard work, but the time flew by. I would not have changed anything.
What did you find meaningful this weekend? The reflections of my self helped me understand the shortcomings of myself and will help me become a better husband. We found that we agreed on many things we are a lot a like, and where we are not we can compliment each other.
What are your impressions of your ME? Fantastic! We had the opportunity to do a M.E. when we were married 20 years ago. We didn’t do it then – I wish we had. M.E. gave me the atmosphere to address feelings that have been in the dark corners of my soul for 20 years. The dialogue guidelines created a place of safety for me to be honest with my husband. Thank you! Overall it went too fast and was very intense but that’s okay.
What did you find meaningful this weekend? The dialoguing – I hope we can always remember to do this. I appreciated the hospitality and warmness of the M.E. Team. It was touching to hear your stories and know we’re not alone on our journeys and that there is no such thing as a problem free, perfect marriage. The facilities are A+! Loved being here and with you all!
What are your impressions of your ME? The exercises were hard, but that is exactly why we hadn’t done them on our own. We had no idea what to expect or how the experience would be. I was happy with how things went. We discussed a lot of tough issues. We have been in marriage counseling a few years ago (for 3 years total) and felt the needed to again take a look at our relationship in a different format. You covered a breadth and depth of subjects that we hadn’t yet addressed. Thank you for your commitment and for answering the call to serve other couples. God Bless you all! And ….we’re pooped!!!!
What are your impressions of your ME? Being a schedule person – I was at first wanting a schedule of events! However, in the end, I was pleased with the way the weekend evolved, and that we had chosen to come. I appreciated the thought and preparations that went into the presentations. And the dinner on Saturday was a special treat. Many thanks, for everything.
What did you find meaningful this weekend? The material and presentations gave us a framework for communicating better. It was reassuring to find as a couple – we stand with one another. It was humbling to see that many couples share the same issues.
